Hesperia, CA (February 27, 2024) – A 34-year-old Palm Springs man was killed in a pedestrian accident that took place over the weekend in Hesperia. The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 24th.
Police were called to the intersection of Main Street and Pyrite Avenue in reference to the accident. According to a report from the scene, 34-year-old Jaime Munguia, of Palm Springs, was hit by a vehicle on Main Street. Emergency officials arrived and pronounced Munguia dead at the crash scene. There is no information on exactly how the accident took place and no description was provided on the vehicle or the driver involved in the incident. The road was partially blocked while authorities investigated and the scene was cleared. No word was given on whether any charges will be filed. An investigation remains ongoing.
