Huntington Beach, CA (February 23, 2024) – Officials in Huntington Beach have identified the victim of a pedestrian crash that took place on Wednesday, February 21st. The crash happened around 10:00 p.m. at the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Williams Drive.
According to police, 67-year-old Johnny Lee Davis, of Stockton, was walking on Beach Boulevard when he was hit by a 2021 Tesla Model Y that was traveling southbound on Beach. Davis sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Tesla, a 33-year-old resident of Huntington Beach, remained at the scene and spoke with authorities. Police are investigating the accident at this time. There is no word on whether any charges will be filed. No further details have been released.
