Appley Valley, CA (March 27, 2024) – One person was killed and another suffered critical injuries after a head-on collision in Apple Valley on Wednesday, March 27th. The crash happened just after midnight on Central Road, just north of Pahute Avenue.
According to a report from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office, a 33-year-old man was driving a Ford Ranger southbound on Central Road. At the same time, a 47-year-old woman from Phelan was operating a Dodge Durango northbound on the same road. For unknown reasons, the Ford crossed over into the northbound lanes and crashed head-on into the Durango. The Ranger driver was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The Durango driver was airlifted to a hospital where she was treated for serious injuries and was listed in serious condition. Neither of the drivers have been identified at this time. There is no word on what caused the accident to occur and the crash remains under investigation. There is no further information available.
